Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this study was to divide the problems of the tobacco cessation services into before and after
COVID-19 and examine the sustainable tobacco cessation services after COVID-19 through a literature review
method.
Methods: This study used the literature review method in the entire process. The scope includes domestic and academic papers, research reports, seminar materials, and other newspaper articles.
Results: We found the problems with tobacco cessation services that stand out before COVID-19 including the lack of standardization guidelines, the capability of service providers and the absence of linked community services. And problems that stand after COVID-19 include the lack of an independent smoking cessation service system, non-reflection of today¡¯s smoking patterns, and limitations of face-to-face oriented services. The direction to examine of those problems was to establish an independent system and redefine roles to optimize functions, strengthen service providers¡¯ capabilities
reflecting smoking trends, convert to ono-face-to-face services, and derive plans to connect services within the community.
Conclusion: This study can be used as basic data for non-smoking support projects in local communities that have changed since COVID-19. Furthermore, it is expected to provide practical measures that can be applied to sustainable tobacco cessation services in the future.
